Forum For Global Challenges Partner Investment Opportunities

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for the inaugural Forum for Global Challenges, which will take place at The ICC Birmingham on Tuesday 3rd – Thursday 5th May 2022.

The Forum has been convened by the Institute for Global Innovation at the University of Birmingham, a global top 100 university, in collaboration with the World Bank, UNESCO, the Confederation of British Industry, the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and UK Research and Innovation.

Through the Forum, we will identify, generate and share solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Our programme focuses on creating multi-sector partnerships that can create real change, tackling the critical issues of climate change and inequality. An innovative hybrid programme will bring together delegates in Birmingham, at a number of international satellite hubs, and through a virtual platform which enables participation from anywhere in the world.

Our agenda will focus on showcasing and designing solutions, including specific sessions on the green economy, sustainable cities, transport futures, education, employment, food security, and ecosystem restoration and gender equality.

Our Keynote speakers are thought leaders, visionaries and pioneers on solutions for the global challenges, including policy makers, industry and business, academic and the third sector. I wish to invite you to partner with us to show your commitment to global innovation and change, and to help further education and perception around environmental issues.

The partnership opportunities provide captivating content, engagement and advertising prospects. From involvement in the programme through symposia, to educational grant support to fund academics and future leaders from low and middle-income countries, there is an array of possibilities to suit your CSR goals and to contribute to a more connected world.

This prospectus should provide all the basic information needed but please feel free to discuss with us a bespoke package. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Birmingham in 2022. With best wishes,

Professor Hisham Mehanna

Director Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Interdisciplinary)
